The problem with Iraq is that our leaders have continually lied to us about what this war is all about. Iraqi's, like all people deserve the right to choose their own destinies. But freeing Iraqi's from Saddam was not the issue. Lets face it America, This war is borne on our backs so Bush and Cheney (OIL MEN) and their buddies can take control of the Oil. Wake up America.

Saddam Hussein was a mass murderer and is responsible for the death of thousands of people. He never did any RIGHT for his country. So if its what you're saying that what he did is not wrong then you must be saying that it is ok to kill thousands of innocent lives? Look at what's going on in our world today. Do you really think that to maintain world peace(especially in Iraq) is to let Saddam take the lives of innocent people? Someone who commits such an act like Saddam has no conscious and betrays everyone, even his own country, the people of the country and his family. It is a complete disgrace to humanity and this time he will not get away with it.

What Pres. Bush is doing is not much different? Really I didn't see Bush's daughters having political dissidents thrown into swimming pools full of acid for entertainment purposes? I don't recall the Bush administration having a media source (CBS mind you) picked up in another country and then executed.

How many times does Bush have to tell you the war is not with Islam its with Islamic extremist?

If you really think Saddam was not so bad then maybe you should go live next door in Syria...their system is not all that different. I'd like to see how long you last after criticising their government there?

Ignorance is bliss. Many people way in with their emotions. They pick sides based off of friends family and political beliefs. Saddam Hussein was a horrible man. Do some research make comparisons. Is he better or worse than Hilter? How much is enough. Hilter and the axis powers where guilty of the deaths of over 62 million people in WWII. Would 10 million been to much or little? There are at least two sides to every moment in history. I have looked at both sides. Iraq is better than it was under Hussein. The US and the World is safer without him. The cause has been worth the loss of lives on all sides. Do the research and don't take my word for it. A lot of people who post here want to push their own agenda. We live in the greatest nation on earth. Form your own opinions. You won't be assassinated for having one.
Facts sway me. Change my mind I would prefer to be wrong and know the truth.

I do agree Iraq is worse under the US occupation than under Seddam Hussein, but I also believe Seddam was mentaly unstable (like many other dictators). If Bush wanted to 'liberate' a country, he would have had more luck in an African country where conditions are even worse. Sadly, many people have become suspicious of Muslims and label many of them as radicals. The reason we don't attack North Korea is because we don't have enough resources since the Iraq war and because of the possibility of a larger-scale war.

Wow, there is so much in your question. First of all, Saddam is one of the most evil people on the planet. To say he did nothing wrong is just foolish. He tortured and killed people, he committed genocide, he trained terrorists, and he threatened people with weapons of mass destruction (whether or not he actually had them). It's also foolish to think Iraq is worse now. Girls are now allowed to attend school and the people are free from torture and genocide, and they now have a say in their government.

And you'll have to pardon Americans if we're a little uncomfortable with Islam, since all the people who have attacked us were Muslim. If we were being attacked by Buddhists, we'd be uncomfortable about Buddhism.

Take a closer look at how Saddam treated his people. It was horrific. Nobody should defend Saddam, and nobody should be sad he's gone.

And, by the way, if the U.S. attacked North Korea, then half the world would start griping about that, and complaining that Kim Jong Il did nothing wrong.

The war in Iraq is wrong and based on lies but Hussein was an evil man and did many wrong things. To "protect" his country he killed thousands of innocent people and ruled by terror and force. If you do not think that what he did is wrong then you are just another example about why most Americans think that Islam and muslimes are a bunch of terrorists.

Saddam Hussein is accused of being responsible for the death of 5000 civilians, mostly Kurds. In neighboring Turky more Kurds than that died in the past years but nobody cares!
During the occupation of the Americans until now more than 50.000 innocent civilians were killed in Iraq as "collateral damage" and nobody cares!
In Darfur, western region of Sudan, recently more than 300.000 civilians have been killed and nobody cares!
Just because you do not like the head of a state does not justify a war! There are at least 50 states, whose leaders are tremendously worse than Saddam Hussein and nobody cares!

How ought to assisting a wide-spread assassin ever be "moral" (except, of direction, contained in the eyes of politicians who stood to line their wallet properly from such institutions)? I heard there turned right into a image circulating on youtube a number of years in the past that confirmed a image from 1991 of Osama bin laden sitting at a picnic table at Bush's Crawford Ranch in Texas. Ten years later, he's international Enemy #a million. If that image became actual (i ought to in no way locate it), what the hell truly is going on?

So what your saying is that you can launch a biological strike on your own people and kill masses of them... but thats ok? And we know Islam is not terrorist... terrorists are terrorists. Ever heard of the Oklahoma City Bombing in 1995? Look into it.
