Yes and no.
As a rule they are not.But i have been around horses for many years and have seen a lot bite wounds.The only way it is dangerous is if the horse bite causes an infection.It is rare but this does happen,usually with deep wounds.
I have also seen aggressive horse bit people's faces and that turns out really nasty with scars.Have also seen a horse bite a person between their neck and shoulder and literally take a chunk of flesh out of the person.Again this isn't common but can happen.

any bite can be dangerous if not treated. If bacteria sets into the bite it can cause serious problems, but i do not think you can get sick just from a horse bite.

of course there dangerous, i know someone die after a viscous attack from a horse, they got bitten on the neck, horses that bite are no joking matter and should be taken seriously.

Yes...simply because a horse has to close its mouth all the way before he can open it....even though the horse knows your hand is a mistake he has to carry through before he can open his mouth.
