but do you really think we solved the problem or created another one? What kind of special stupid would you have to be to hit the same place twice? All that happened was that some of you were lulled into a false sense of security and everyone's freedom to move about freely in a free society, was compromised.

What would I do different? Take responsibity for my own safety, like anyone who cherishes a free society. Oh, and that includes staying out of our countries business so they didn't get so po'd that they wanted to kill us all. Protection is an elusive concept and has no business in a free society. When I order hot coffee I do not need them to tell me that it will be hot. I do not need to be told not to take a blow dryer into the shower with me and if you do then you are much more of a threat.

Our airports are really no more secure, The american public will not accept full security nor will they pay for it.

The airport security is just a joke. A lot of what they do serves no purpose at all. Like scanning your lap tops outside of your bags, etc. The can scan it just as easily inside. It's just for show and to make you think they are doing something. Look how many people still sneak things on and airport security hasn't deterred one thing. We here them talking about what they have prevented, and if so then why is it none of these people have gone to trial? And these people are suppose to be so honest yet look how many of them steal form the luggage they are suppose to be protecting

Why be so harsh? If we had no airport security, terrorists would know that and would strike via that method again. People, in general, don't have a false sense of security. We know that an airplane is just one of many methods to attack us. So your recommendation is no security at all? Let the terrorists do whatever they want? That doesn't seem like a solution.

I also felt that way for a while, because I fly every week for my job and I hate the security routine.

But my brother who's an airline pilot pointed this out: think what a great victory for the terrorists it would be if they _could_ pull off another hijacking. Think what that would do in the Arab world to help their funding and recruiting.

HELLO!!!!!!!!!! Yes we do need security in the airports. Do you watch the news? Have you been in a major airport lately? We need extra security just about everywhere. And the land of the free, allot of our freedom has gone right out the window by state laws.

There is security at the airport if you don't fit the profile. John Walker Lindh could have cut his hair, shaved his beard, put on a t-shirt, shorts and flip-flops and blown up everything in America, because he would not have been stopped or searched.

Actually, someone DID try again. He wore a shoe bomb and was foiled by an alert Flight Attendant.

So your arguement is null.
