I don't believe in Darwin's theory because that would be against my religion, Catholic. I believe God created all in one way and each individual is different, not a copy of another that has been changed by "Evolution".

Darwin only proposed the theory of evolution, which can have some confusion amongst most people. The theory states that all organisms change over time. This simple fact is true no matter what. For example: there were dinosaurs, but there aren’t any today: change over time. God is the basis of science. What I mean by that is while God is the foundation, he created everything: evolution (change) being one of his wonders. Evolution was one of his designs for the world to make sure that everything can proceed and change on its own, for the better (natural selection). All the different hosts of branches of science are ways people explain the natural phenomena that God created. Thus, God created Adam and Eve along with everything else, but after the creation, the forces of evolution (one of his designs) acted upon his creations (Adam and Eve included). Hope this was helpful.

Adam and Eve, as with the creation myths of many religions since recorded history began, is a story. Here are a few things to keep in mind if you plan to take it literally.

Adam and Eve had two sons that are named, Cain and Able. Cain slew Able, and was marked so that no matter where he went, people would know him and know not to kill him....

Where did these "other" people come from? If Cain was Adam and Eve's first child, wouldn't everyone know he was their big brother?

Also, who did Adam and Eve's other children marry and have children of their own with? Their other siblings? Incest it sort of wrong in the eyes of the church, so I doubt that is the answer.

This is not saying you should give up your belief in whatever religion you follow, but you should realize that the Bible is a book full of great stories and moral lessons, few of which should be taken at face value. Read the Bible, talk to the spiritual leader of your church. You might be surprised at what they tell you.

I hold an advanced degree in biology. I find it very disturbing to hear people doubting evolution. Listen up folks: It's not religion versus science. Science is NOT out there to disprove religion, but rather to explain that which is unknown by means of collecting unbiased, credible evidence. There is so much evidence (molecular, fossil, developmental, to name a few) that supports Darwin's theory. Unless you've studied biology and are fully versed on what evolution is (genetic change in a population over time ) as opposed to what it is not (anti-religion), you have NO right nor the intellectual credentials to pontificate on the subject and claim Darwin's theory is wrong.

I wish I could educate America more on what biology is and what science is, as most Americans are completely ignorant of who we are as a species and where we came from and the hardcore, scientific evidence that exists to prove it.

Furthermore, the Catholic church no longer denies the theory of evolution. The evidence that life on earth evolved over millions of years is so great and undeniable now that Pope John Paul II in 1996 issued an official declaration saying that the church now accepts evolution- and that evolution does not disprove the existence of a god. If you don't believe me, google it. If one looks at god as the driving power behind evolution, evolution is not at odds with religion.

If Darwin is right then Adam and Eve (as we know them) didn't exist.

Darwin is not right. There is proof to this, scientists made new discoveries that humans came from twp people (Adam and Eve) and not monkeys.

Well they "technically" existed.

At some point in time, a genetic mutation had to occur to produce homo sapien sapien, use "modern man". So there had to be a first man, and a first women. If you would like you could call them Adam and Eve.

And we know that from our DNA that WE, meaning every man woman and child on earth can be linked back to one woman living in Africa thousands of years ago, who as been named "Africa Eve".

Like the rest of the bible thing, Adam and Eve are fictitional characters created by a penal colony.

Darwin only proved how species came to be. He never claimed who made them, or when God gave man his soul. So technically, his theory of evolution does not disagree with any major church doctrine, especially Catholicism. It is a major misconception about the subject to think that he disproved the existance of God or the truth of the Bible.

darwin could be right and still not be in contradiction with the story
of adam and eve...all that is required is to understand that god could have used evolution as one tool in creating the universe.

Sorry you are a victim of christian propaganda and false dillemma.

Darwin has nothing to do with religion. It implies that species evolve overtime. For example, today our appendix is not needed, its a vestigal organ. A million years ago our ancestors appendix was used due to their diet. "Descent with Modification".....
