If your computer has a built in or external microphone, a supplied program of Windows XP will do just exactly that: record audio. Its this easy:
1> Start.
2> Programs
3> Accessories
4> Entertainment.
5> Sound Recorder.
To start recording, press the red circular button.
To stop recording, press the red square button.
It only records sixty seconds, so if you want more, I would suggest you download a program to record it accurately.
