That's for Karl that said something about Euro. I wouldn't characterize the Greek victory over the european cup as a "lucky" one.
There are many reasons, for example Greece maybe didn't get qualified for the WC06 but that doesn't mean that they changed anything from their Euro paying, and that's because if you see the statistics, they were exactly the same as during the Euro and before that. 0-0 0-1 1-0 1-1 and some exceptions like 2-1 against Portugal...
The Greeks were playing only to have played good and not to get the cup, so each games result wasn't going to make a damn difference for them. But it was for the Spaniard or the French or the Czechs or of course the Portuguese! as they were in a great stress of winning the game between themselves and the Greeks. But the Greeks even if they had lost the last game they would have been the same happy!

They're much more fun than they appear. Just because someone wears thick glasses, a sports jacket with elbow patches and has zero fashion sense doesn't make them not fun to know. After all, we all need scientists and mathematicians to help the world progress. Without greeks there would be no computers or ipods and mp3s would still be 78s.

Never met a greek I didn't like. And what their history has given to the world is amazing. The world would not be what it is today with out them.

Interesting people--very outgoing and expressive--earthy--very attuned to family--strong emotionally charged approach to life---and some of the women---whoa nelly

The heritage they bring to the world is within itself an amazing thing--the ancient center of so much of the world's history and the forebearers of so much of the first attempts within the human experiment in government--education--commerce---and so much more--the world owes the Greeks a vote of gratitude for their adventurous spirit and quest for life and all of its elements
