Everyone is shouting for Condi to run. Can't you just imagine a Condi/Hillary race? At least it'd be funny to watch.

I am hoping that Mitt Romney or Mark Sanford will run. Hell, I'd even tolerate Giuliani. Any one of the above would bring in quite a few "swing" voters like myself and seal the deal. Condi has too much association with the current administration to turn many people.

The last AP poll (I know Republicans LOVE polls) put the possibilities thusly:
Condoleezza Rice 30%
Rudolph Giuliani 21%
John McCain 20%
Newt Gingrich 8%
Mitt Romney 7%

If the Republicans are intelligent enough to run one of these (with the exceptions of Condi and Newt), and the Democrats run another lameass like Kerry or Clinton, I might even vote Republican.

We have several according to polls Condo Rice can easily beat all the Democrats suggested 10% over Hillary, R. Giuliani shows a 9% advantage, Mitt Romney is not well known but has a great health care plan & he is only a few points off - getting to know him is easy. Mean spirited Christians that are not smart enough to know that Mormons are Christian may have a problem with him. McCain has a 4% lead but I think he is nuts personally.

Do not concern yourself, it is in the works! Hillary is still our best weapon, people say they just do not like her.

What about Guiliani?
And I hate to point it out, because I'm usually on your side, but you said you didn't want to bash Democrats...and then called them scumbags.....not that I disagree.
And, while I don't think the world is ready for a women President...there is no physical reason why a woman could not do it...you are going to have to come out of the dark ages.
As long as it's not Billary...but we're not sure she's a woman anyway....
You wouldn't vote for Condi? She's very impressive.

Even though I'm a Democrat, I think Republicans would do best with McCain as a candidate. I just don't think he'll get past the Religious Right.

Or, if he has to play too far to the Right, he'll lose the appeal he's developed with Moderates to maintain his stature as front-runner.

Then there's Giuliani, but he's got the same issues as McCain - only worse.

I don't think you can bring anyone out of the Bush camp and win.

You know, I think either McCain or Giuliani could be good choices. Both are moderate, perhaps too moderate for many republicans, but I think this country really needs an administration that could bridge the gap between the libs and cons. How it stands now, nothing is getting done, because both parties are SOOOOO concerned about themselves and their party, they're letting the important legislation go down the toilet. Nothing is happening, and I think a good moderate Rep in the white house could end this deadlock and get DC moving again. To be honest, I really don't care about gay marriage or abortion, I am concerned about our national security, economy, welfare reform, and illegal immigration. McCain or Giuliani would be a damn site better in my opinion on the important issues then H. Clinton or Kerry.

you just realized that...

McCain... is your best shot... he's soft on gay marriage though... and half the Republicans hate him....

Frist is the Republican version of Al Gore... a stiff from Tennessee

Giuliani is pro-abortion and gay marriage... and a new yorker... good bye south with him...

Romney is a Mormon.. I don't see the Christian base liking that...

Jeb, Condi and powell seem to be total pipe dreams...

of course I'm not to sure the Dems have much better... Edwards and Warner are ok (and I lean to the Dem side)... Obama probably won't run, maybe as a vp... that's about it...

Hillary is a pipe dream too I think...

Newt... hahaha... come on... you need to look "pretty" to be president... we're in an image age, Newt doesn't have it...

Since the demons are going to nominate queen hillary the Republicans can ignore their base and go with Guiliani who can beat her. To given him credibility in foreign affairs and combat the first womans issue he'll take Condi Rice as his running mate; Republicans relunctantly have to support that ticket - and they win. Hillarys only chance is the same as Bills....a third party candidate from the right.

You repuglicans did not have a cadidate in 2000 and 2004 either, but learned how to rig an election and you didn't need one. Now we have no president. Just an evil doer in charge of the military.

We don't need a candidate right now. We can take the last scraps off the table and still have a better option then the whiny pissbag the traiter libs will have!!

I'm sure you'll come up with some candidate equally as useless as the dems and what we have in office now.

McCain would be ok but he's getting a bit long-in-the-tooth..

If elected he would be older than Regan when he took office.
