There's another site www.lisdsp.org that severely criticizes the claims made by the promoters. It's loaded with all kinds of information, but I'm none the wiser. Somebody help me decide, please.

Looks like a scam to me. If you are looking to invest your money, you may want to try an index fund. You won't double your money with an index fund in 70 weeks, but you also are much less likely to lose your money in an index fund.

Something that has worked in the past was following my mothers advice, "Invest in companies that make things you like." So if you really like Nike shoes, invest in Nike, or if you really like shopping at Walmart, invest there. If you really like Gold, buy Gold.

Sure it's possible. Look at any listing of stock prices. You'll find many that have doubled in the last 70 weeks. Picking those that will double in the next 70 weeks is a different story. No one can promise that - at least not promise that and be truthful at the same time.

Try aaii.com for good unbiased investment basics. magicformulainvesting.com is a simple idea but it probably works for a portfolio of several stocks.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Nobody can get that rate of return without enormously risky investments. The web site is probably a scam.

If you want to invest, put it in a mutual fund from someone like Vanguard, Fidelity, or T. Rowe Price.
