i would rather be sinlge than be stuck with someone i dont love. its just not right to be married to someone your not in love with ans beside i wont be lonley cuz i will always have friends.

I think having a horrible spouse would be way worse. I am so glad I have a wonderful husband. I would definitely prefer the single life over a horrible spouse, nonetheless, you would be in control of your life and what you fill it with. If you are lonely, you can always make friends.

Horrible spouse. I've know people in that kind of situation. They are always more miserable than the long time single people I know, besides the single person will still have friends and do stuff.

In the event that you were stuck with horrible spouse whom you could not divorce would be the worst hell of all. Actually come to think of it this happens all of the time, its called "Marriage". Although you do have the right to divorce said sh**head at anytime, youre never fully divorced from the entire process. In the case of the male, you have alimony, the whore taking 50% of your sh** and you can never, ever, ever escape those bastard friends. If youre the woman, you have to deal the that friggin deadbeat dodging child support, alimony, etc. Just as Superman said, "Fighting crime is the never ending battle", well so is marriage. It never ends until the day you die. Some guys go all out and fake their death, they then move to Bangladesh. This would work, but most guys enjoy taking showers, so Bangladesh is out.

Boy...I live this question everyday.....I'm glad I got rid of the horrible spouse...I would rather be a lone then deal with the devil on a daily basis.
You always second guess yourself though when you have kids...but, then you look at the quality of life and realize you made the best choice for them. Children should never be raised in a cruel and violent, loveless marriage. EVER...

i would rather be single my whole life. i rather not have a spouse than having a spouse i hate. when you are single, there is more freedom. having a horrible spouse often can lead to a fight, which can hurt physically, emotionally, and pychologically, which is not really healthy.

Horrible spouse...I have been in an abusive marriage so I have experience....but single you can do what you want...not dating...hey it's just a hassle most of the time anyway!

being single would be worse in my opinion because with a horrible spouse you would at least still have someone to fight with where as being single you couldn't even do that!!!
