I like technology, and would like a multi-functional phone but I am heavily influenced by price.

As you're reading this and I've got your attention, I just thought I'd ask, does anyone know what kind of phones will be 'in' next year? 2 years ago it was flip, last year candybar, this year slide? Whatever next? or as slide phones have been so popular will they stay 'in', please tell me, thanks.

Steer clear of Motorola phones. They don't last very long (personal experience on that), and they also produce a lot of radiation in comparison to other cellular phones. To be honest? There hasn't been too much of a "trend" so to speak when it comes to mobile phones aside from their becoming thinner and thinner. The unfortunate thing is that as they become thinner, they'll have to sacrifice something elsewhere, so usually audio quality/volume are the first to go. My recomendation would be something from Samsung. Their phones have great audio quality, and those that have cameras also have a relatively good quality camera. Most also have bluetooth these days, too. I'm not sure whether you're looking to use the GSM band or the CDMA band, but if you're going CDMA, I recomend anything out of the Samsung A900 series... so A900, A920, A950, etc.... all of them have bluetooth, a 1.3 megapixel camera, and can play MP3s.

I've had my Samsung E720 since they came out and love it, but its in need of an upgrade now. As a flip phone it was great, great camera, brilliants games, great MP3 etc etc. I have just bought the Samsung E900 slide phone with touch screen because it has a 2megapixel camera and I know the quality is good as my E720 took great photos.

Who knows what will be in next year, but if slide is in now, it will be in for at least part of next year and there is a lot of choice. Go play with some at an independent store, you'll know it when you see it.

I'm not exactly sure on what's the best phone, but next year I think the text messaging phones that open up horizontally, side to side will be very popular. Seems they're coming out with those a lot these days.

the slvr from www.virginmobile.co.uk. i got mine on special offer at 59.99
but it gets better
included in that price was 30 pounds of airtime
and a free bluetooth headset.

i think next years phones will fold into a camera and music player, instead of just being a camera phone.

The Nokia 6310i - it is an previously style yet important certainly. i be attentive to this because of the fact my brother has it- even although he has between the latest fashions with a digicam- he won't even think of to area with this one because it has all the helpful properties of bloothtooth and so on yet without the digicam. such as you he makes use of it for places the place cameras at the instant are not allowed. it particularly works international extensive too.
