"I'm OK with lesbians, not gays"
isn't that a paradox?
I don't believe in it at all. It takes a man and a woman to produce life and I love the fact that both my wife and I are proud parents of our chidren. Flesh and blood. Daughter looks like mom, son looks like dad.
God created marriage as man and woman. Anything outside of this design is WRONG.
Now the National Education is considering teaching this to kindergartners. Any other sex ed waited til later toward high school. Now this.

I understand that people who follow certain religions are against it, I also understand that most gay people who are looking to get married are not asking to do so in those people's churches. If a gay person wants to go to a courthouse and get married for all of the many legal benefits that go with it (being allowed to make medical decisions in an emergency or even being allowed to see their loved one in the hospital when it is "family" only being two of the biggest things) I don't think there is any reason not to let them. I have never heard a reason other than religious/moral beliefs for them not to be allowed to get married and I believe those opinions have no place outside the church.

I believe two people who love each other have the right to create the relationship they want. The right to legally marry the person you love should be available to all people having achieved the age of consent. Marriage offers financial, social, and psychological security. Being able to marry and therefor have the right to make medical decisions, visit people in intensive care, will or inherit property should be available to two people regardless of gender, race, religion, creed, national origin. Doing this has no effect whatsoever on heterosexual unions. I would love to hear the arguments that state that gay marriage can affect two heterosexuals who wish to marry!

Marriage is a civil right that should be granted to everyone. It allows a fuller inclusion in society. This country does not have an official religion, we shouldn't become a theocracy by submitting to follow the laws of Christians.

The practice of homosexuality is destructive to the human soul and God gave His warnings about this in the Bible. Supporting gay marriage is a sin because it means to support homosexuality.
Iniquities (sinful tendencies) pass down the generation line if they are not removed by the Blood of the Lord Jesus. Homosexuality is caused by iniquity and the Blood of Jesus cleanses the iniquities of all who accept Him as their Saviour.
After a person accepts the Lord Jesus as their Saviour, they are transformed and made a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). So the gay person would be changed and so would the alcoholic, liar, drug addict, fornicator etc. It's the power of the Blood of Christ and the Holy Spirit in the believer that brings about this transformation.
REDEMPTION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH
Because mankind is incapable of meeting God’s standard of perfection necessary to abide in God’s presence (Romans 3:19-20,23), God sent His Son Jesus Christ to pay the total debt for the believer’s sins and mercifully credits to his account Christ’s righteousness (Romans 3:21-28,5:1-11; 2 Corinthians 5:18-21). Jesus’ gracious act of atonement was complete and covers all sin (Colossians 2:13-14; 1 John 1:9). Salvation is not based on good deeds but according to the mercy of God (Titus 3:4-5). Believers are justified by faith; it is a gift by God’s grace (Romans 4:3-8; Ephesians 2:8-9). A true, living faith will result in a desire to live a holy, loving life of good works (Ephesians 2:10; Galatians 5:6; James 2:14-26), but failure to be absolutely successful at righteous living does not negate the believer’s justified status.
If you sincerely say this prayer, your sins will be washed away, you will be redeemed to God, be saved from eternal torment and inherit the Kingdom of God:
"Dear Jesus,
I am a sinner.
I repent of my sins.
Please forgive me and save me by your shed blood;
come into my heart.
I want to receive you as my own personal Lord and Savior.
Amen"

I think we should keep the traditional definition of marriage. People can live as they choose, but let's not change the complete definition of what something is to appease a particular group of people.

I personally dont like it... my x girl had friends that were married (females) and they drove me nuts... They got artificially inseminated and have 3 girls now. I think a kid should have the chance to have both a mom and a dad. Everything in this world is changing so fast that people dont have any beliefs that our fore fathers taught.

off course, it is no problem! some time baby is born with both sex-elements, some time they suffer as mentally and physically to know who he or she is. it is difficult process to know own identity, if they find real love after this difficulty and want get married, why can't we celebrate them for their happiness! every person has the right to love what they love. you can't control your love, if you can, then it it not real love!
