My friends mom doesnt like her going out with her boyfriend so she cant see him or talk to him wihtout doing it secretly. What should she do? She really loves him. HELP!

Mom's ususally know best..or at least mine did. Maybe she has a good reason. Maybe your Mom I mean your friends mom needs to get to know this guy better.

Parents often can see things and understand things that teens don't always see or understand. Parents have been there and only want the best for their kids. Parents also often are unreasonable and limit their kids strictly because they are paranoid. Your friend should talk to her mom and find out what her concerns are and try to compromise, whether it's seeing her boyfriend with chaperones around because her mom is concerned that they are doing things she might be too young for or only seeing him a few times a week because she is concerned about her not concentrating on school. Let your friend know that this will work out. If she is meant to be with this guy, even if it doesn't work out now it will eventually.

First of all it matters how old she is. Mom & Dad know best and there life revolves around loving and protecting their kids. If your friend is an adult, she needs to do the adult thing and tell mom, "I respect your feelings about this guy but I love him and I have to see where things take us." Then don't shut mom out. The more you make her worry the less likely she is going to be able to trust and your friend will never be able to go out.

How old is she? Is there reasons why her mom doesn't like him? Moms really just want to protect their kids.
