men are possessive of their woman. not necessarily a good thing and not neceessarily a bad thing. if he cares for you then it means he doesn't want to lose you since it's far easier for a woman to hook up than it is for a man. he may care very deeply for you and doesn't want some douchebag a**hole creeping in and trying to take you away from him. on the other hand, he could just be possessive in a pimp sort of way.
