Well...it's easy to romanticise the past but sometimes I think the only other time I could have been born in was the 1880's instead of the 1980's. Despite being still young I don't really care for the fashion, the technology and all - I didn't have a mobile phone 'til I was 19, and I hardly use it. I still don't have an MP3 player etc. I prefer to paint, draw, go for walks, write and read (and sit on the computer...reading! XD) My bedroom is cluttered up with ornaments, plants, pictures, books and plates - Mum calls it a Victorian parlour!!

But then you read the history books and realise that life did probably suck at that time - especially for women and the poor - and with my family roots I would have been working class....and I love my car...so - yeah, I don't mind being born when I was! XD

No, I grew up as a teen in the 70's and I loved it. If things could be like they were then, we would be alright. We had more respect for one another and the world was not near 'bout as bad as it is right now. I am glad that I got a taste of the 70's. I feel for the ones who are being born today.

All the time.
I should have been born 200 years from now where I could get to work in a flying car or conveyor belt and not the 'delayed 7.44am transpennine express to Leeds' and global warming would mean that England would be scorching in February.

Definitely. I should have been born 100 or 200 years in the future.

All of the time. I envy people from the 30's and 40's, although, I know perfectly well that times were not "better" then - it's just more romantic to me than now.

I can't stand today's over consumption, I want something simpler... but then again... I like being an independent woman.

Yes. I have such an affinity with several periods of British history...medieval, renaissance and Victorian. It's definitely as if I have lived through them and crave to go back so I read stories that take place during those time periods and have since I was a teenager.
