I am an extremely pale girl and I want a tan. I believe tans have a slimming effect, and I am tired of blinding people! I want to compete in Latin ballroom dancing soon, and I don't need to have a fish white body... I need a tan!

I see girls all the time walking around in tattered old shorts... but their legs are perfect! All beautifully the same colour, a slight healthy shine... no razor burn or pimples...

How do I do this?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

I have pale skin too. I feel your pain. I use the same thing as the girl above. A lotion with a slight tan lotion in it that gives you full color in about a week. Coppertone gradual sun is a good brand because it has a really natural looking color.

It's better than tanning lotions because you put it on every day and it slowly gets darker, so there's less room for error.

Now, if I have an event and want to be completely perfect, I go and get a Mystic Tan. It's a booth you go in for about 3 minutes and it sprays a tan lotion all over you that is even and looks great. It lasts for about a week. So, when you have you competitions, I would recommend that. :)

As far as razor bumps, try a wax such as Nair or a shave cream such as skintimate.

Try going to a tanning salon or try a professional sprayed tan. Also a good tip to prevent razor burn is to use a razor with a moisturizing strip on it. Also I use hair conditioner and shaving cream, the conditioner softens the hair and skin making it easier to shave. And if you just have a bit of stubble, shave with the hair not against it. And use lotion at least twice a day! Hope this helps!
And beware of at home tanners and lotion with tan builders, they tend to make pale skin look orange, which is never a good color!

Well the trend now is natural glow daily moistriser. Tons of different brands make it. Which is basically like lotion but with tanning stuff in it. So you just put it on instead of moisturizer and you have a great tan that is even and your skin looks flawless. I put it all over my body (face included) and I don't have any problems with it. The unhealthy alternative for a perfect tan is a tanning booth..but that is only if you want skin cancer.

If you tan your skin, your imperfections won't be nearly as noticeable. I like Jergens Natural Tan...something like that...it works SO well. It's kind of gradual so there's no lines or orangeness..Give it a try (only $6 a tube).

Go tanning at a salon. Or sit outside

Don't. Tanning is harmful to the skin and you will regret it in the long run. It is even potentially very dangerous to your health.
