as the memory of 9/11 fades and no further attacks have taken place , are we being lulled into a false sense of security

We are being lulled into a false sense of security. People don't connect the war in Iraq and the various anti-terrorism policies at home (patriot act, phone records, etc) with a 100% 'no terrorist attack' success rate in the US. But the truth is that these are part of the reason why there have been no attacks - not 100% of the reason, but not 0% either. The fact that people are complaining about these activities suggests that they have naively developed a false sense of security - the "immunity" America felt in the 1990s.

With that said, there have been terrorist attacks in "the west" since 9-11 - specifically in Spain and Britain.

No, we have more people being vigilant than ever before. We are striking into the heart of the terrorists nest and exposing them as the dirty dogs they are. Those who think we are weak and ripe for attack had better think again. Freedom based countries will continue to improve their countries as well as other countries more than dictatorships or religous countries could ever imagine because every person counts, not just the leaders.

Of course, i mean, new york was complacent within two years of the WTC going down. I think it's hilarious that everyone get's all upety when someone gets arrested in the process of planning another attack. You gotta know that we're in the last days, and armageddon is just around the corner.

Of course. The longer the West continues without an attack the more it drops its guard.

Until one day.... Boom - another attack takes place.

yes, we are. We need to never let another 9-11 happen again. I just got back from Europe and I am glad they do random searches. We had to take the silver my husband 's grandma gave out so they could see it was not a weapon. However, if someone looks suspicios please detain him.
