There are a couple methods I know of, but they both follow the same principle: A polygraph works by first getting a sample of you body's readings while telling the truth, then, when you are asked questions, deviations from those readings indicate deception. What you have to do to mask your deception is throw off the initial sampling. When you respond truthfully to some of the simple starter questions, such as your name, gender, etc, you need to put your body into stress so that a lie later will look like the truth. Keep a tack in your shoe for you to press your toe onto, or (odd as this sounds) clench up your asshole. Intentionally breathe a little faster and think of something you're very worried about. Use this tactic randomly throughout the polygraph for truthful answers. Then, when you want to lie, just relax as much as possible and go for it. The results will be at least inconclusive, which in the polygraph world means that there's no clear indication of deception.

If you are telling the truth then you will pass because your body know it is the truth. Polygraph go off of your heart rate. when you tell a lie your body reacts differently then when you are telling the truth. People bodies will react differently to lies and the truth so at the beginning of the test they will ask you some questions that they know you will tell the truth about and then then will ask you some questions that they will tell you to lie about to see how your body reacts. so if you plan on telling the truth about everything then don't sweat it. But if you plan on lying then come clean and tell the truth. You can't convince your body to lie for you because everyone has a guilty conscious.

Do you have reason to be scared? I can pass a polygraph test easily. Here is how.
1) Eat a meal 2 hours before the test.
2) Just prior to the test, sit, lay down, breathe slowly and evenly to calm yourself, and think dull, but pleasant thoughts. Excitement is bad
3) Most important: Answer questions TRUTHFULLY.
In any event FOLLOW 3). No sweat and good luck

Just tell the truth! The only method I've heard that may help is far too painful and only leaves doubt! If it is meant to be then it shall come to pass!

In the words of George Costanza on Sienfeld:
It's not a lie...if you believe it's true.
