I can only advise you what not to do......do not ever pay money to get started.....go to the web sites for FORD MODELS, ETC. They have open call day like for 30 minutes once a week...you can also mail in a photo....not nearly as exciting as TV shows, but its legitimate.....
If you are not 5'9" - its unlikely you'll get representation at a reputable modeling firm.

I don't know where you are but here is a list of Modelling agencies that Sears Canada uses....I work for them.....Sears, not a model, that wouldn't be good.

Go to a reputable agency and ask them if you have potential. Check them out with the Better Business Bureau first. There are lots of modeling scams. If they ask for money, they are not legit.
