Macromedia Flash 8 - How do I load external images and .swf files into movie clip instances with scaling?

Question

I use Flash 8 and Flash Player 8. When I load external images and .swf movies into movie clips instances using the loadMovie() function, the image/movie displays properly only when the target clip and the loaded image/clip are of the same size. Flash help says the loaded image/movie will inherit the scaling etc. of the traget clip, but it doesn't work.

It wont you have to resize it in photoshop or something. macromedia and their empty promises....
Also a great source for flash help...
