I know what you mean. I feel a bit like a fraud to answer some of these questions. Sometimes it is quite easy to do a Google search or go to www.ask.com to find an answer.
I ask questions, however, because I can't find the information. I asked for help finding a specific bit for my horse, and learned that the only way to get what I wanted was to have one specially made. I figured there might be other horse people in Answers-land who might have the information I needed. I needed experienced help. I did get some helpful answers, so that's cool.
I also asked about genetics, hoping to get an educated answer, but I ended up deleting the question.
I think with me there is always the hope that someone who is educated in a certain area or someone who can sift through the muck to find the truth will answer my question. Experienced insight is as important as factual details. I ask questions here hoping to find both.
Not everyone is as skilled in Internet use or gumshoe investigation as some of the experts here. That's why we come to you all for information!!!

I have found that by reading the answers, some good and some not, that I have learned a lot especially about different wesites that I would not have known to even ask about if I hadn't found answers to questions I did not think to ask. Maybe you should keep reading.

yeah, I know what you mean. Some things are sooo simple to find on google.com or even yahoo! but oh well. I have asked opinion questions before, and those answers cannot be found in a search engine, but many other things can.

It's like asking the question "If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it fall, does it make a noise?"
The answer to both is "good question."
