I recommend "Spybot - Search & Destroy" "Spyware Blaster" and "Lavasoft Ad-aware SE-Personal." All free, and usually available from download.com.

This is the latest recommeded fixes for the Smitfraud's you list.

http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix_En.php

You can also try this one. I is good and works.

Please download Atribune's VundoFix.exe (version 4.2.71 [as of 21 April '06], or later), from

http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4

and save it to your desktop.

Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.
You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK Note: If VundoFix does not reopen after a minute (or two), then you should skip-over the "Run as a task" step, and continue-on to the following steps to SCAN and REMOVE.
When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
Turn your computer back on.
When you're done, please generate a brand-new, up-to-date, HiJackThis log. Post your HJT log, as well as the VundoFix.txt log (which you should find in your root directory, C:\ ) for analysis is this forum: Please start a new thread of your own for your log[s] --- do *NOT* reply and post your log[s] in this thread.

If VundoFix fixed your problem, then help prevent a re-infection:

There is much speculation that a "hole" in some older versions of SUN's Java is being exploited by WinFixer. So you should upgrade to the latest version, 1.5.0_.07

http://www.java.com/en/download/windows

AFTER you successfully install the new Java, go to your control panel, ADD/REMOVE programs, and UNinstall all older versions of Java (if any) that still show up there....
especially version 1.4.2_03 (which is the most likely "culprit" being blamed)

You can go here and make a post and get very good help from onemjc, jibberjabber, rattler243 and others for this problem. You need to list all of the names of the different infections you have. List them exactly as your detection programs list them.

Here is a package that protects me and my neighbor. I haven't been infected in 6 months, and since I put it on his computer, he hasn't been infected in 4 months. He likes to download porn and it still protects him. Best of all everything is Free and work as good and better than pay packages.

Download the latest Java Update 7. Then remove any older versions from your computer.

Go here and download the following programs: All will be in the first 3 red boxes.

http://www.filehippo.com/

Firewall. - If you have XP with SP2 then use the existing Windows firewall. It is excellent. If not then download Zone Alarm free version.

Anti-Virus program - If you have one then use it or replace it with one of these: AVG 7.1 or AVAST

Anti-Spy programs: Use more than one. None can catch all the garbage out there: Windows Defender Beta 2, Spybot Search and Destroy, AdAware SE Personal.

This program will work with the AV and AS programs and add an additional layer of protection and it really works great.

This program will alert you to bad sites:

These are my recommendation based on what protects me and my neighbor

Personally I like Spybot Search & Destroy, and AVG Free. They're both free and work well.

I've also heard good things about Avast.

Norton AntiVirus 2006, and Windows Defender, are what I have, and they both work well.
