Because some afercan americans see it as you grew up preppy adn you dont know what it is like to live in "the hood" So they treat you diffrently for some reason they dont belive that white people go through the same thing tehy do which isnt true. Everybody no matter what color goes through rough times and bad things. You concidered white cause of where you grew up adn probley whom you hung out with. Its your posture the way you speak and dress and how you go about your day.

Maybe because to some people, being black is a state of mind. Like, idk how to explain it, if you act a certain way then you might be considered that or on the same level. Usually there are less black people in the suburbs so your around more white people and might have ya know the house with a garage and front lawn which is obviously a different state of mind than in the city. Because there crime isn't looked at as badly to some, whereas in the suburbs, usually a lot of crime doesn't go down. I'm white but I always have black guys telling me that I don't seem it at all, that I act ghetto. so maybe it's the way you act and have escaped from the stereotypes.

When I look at people, I don't see Black or White. We are all human, just different shades of color. A black person could be as light as he/she wants to be, it's not their fault that the pigment in their skin is that way. Why 'hate on' people that you live in the same community or country with. We're all Americans.

Race is a myth. However, because you don't fit into the cultural stereotype of a black person (growing up in the hood, smacking your ho, etc.), then you may not be accepted as "one of them." You grew up in a way that is uncommon for those black people that consider you "white." In this country, those terms, black and white, have different associations. Black is ghetto, white is rich. And people grow up believing this.

Well do you have mostly white friends? Or maybe you're more educated and have applied yourself more than the people making these comments. With a few exceptions in typos your question isn't written in ebonics or how some blacks talk. I really don't know the answer because we don't have all the facts.

When my son was 5, I was watching Jerry Springer and he had the KKK on. As usual I started yelling at the TV. When my kid looked at me perplexed I tried to explain how they were prejudice just because someone had different colored skin. He thought for a second then answered. "MOM!!!! we're all just different kinds of brown"..... from a white woman and her white son. you are not white or black... you are human

Because some black people think if another black person speaks more "white" or non-ebonics than he/she is a white wannabe and not being true to themselves. They think by being black you have to act all ghetto or something.

i'm sure it's the way that you carry yourself and speak. i'm myself am black, but I don't talk "black". i grew up with white ppl so i tend to talk "white". speaking "black" is black southern and not always proper. i wouldn't worry about it if i were you. it used to bother me when ppl told me i was trying to act right, just correct them and say that you are speaking properly or whatever your response is
