Awarding holidays to people and then try trapping them to put their money with them as long term investment for pleasure and capital gains, it the game these unscrupulous timeshare companies are playing. Beware and don't get trapped. Take well informed decisions.

I've won a timeshare from them and am also trying to find out more. I plan to contact Trading Standards to see if there are any reports of a scam. Their website looks good and if I do decide to pay the annual fee for the timeshare I will use my credit card to protect me if it all goes pearshaped.

I'll post more when I find out more, but don't rely on me, do your own research too.

I would be skeptical of that amount. Additionally, I thought Trendwest was bought out by Wyndham? Lastly, if your name is on the deed, that is who the check will be made out to. Legally, they cannot put it in your husband's name.

please check the company out first, and all its history, the holiday is to send them out there and tour the resort, and finally to sign the contract of sale, having worked in the industry there are some companies which have a bad reputation,so check em out first, and dont be pressured to buy.
