I hate it because Kurt Russell died otherwise the movie was great and better from the last year block baster movie ( war of the worlds).

I have seen the original Poseidon Adventure a long time ago but remember that it was pretty good. Haven't seen the new one. Didn' they just call it Poseidon.

I haven't seen the new one, but loved the original Poseidon Adventure. I liked it because I really got hooked to those characters, you want them to live; even the one who acts like a jerk. When Gene Hackman's character sacrifices himself so the others could live was very sad, but also gave you a hero from the film. At the end when those few survivors were rescued it really was bitter sweet.

Haven't seen it yet but I hear its not as good as the original but has some great special effects.

I like the original one- that one was the best
