Can I purchase a home if I am going through a divorce and it not be considered marital property?

I wouldn't purchase another one, until the divorce is finalised. Rent until then, they buy one....or if you can't wait, put it in someone else's name until the divorce is final. if it's a nasty divorce, they could try to go after half of it, just to be dirty.

Going through the same thing. Lawyers say WAIT til divorce is final. Good Luck

I agree, ask a lawyer because the law is different everywhere.
