that there are life forms elsewhere in the universe? And what about these alien abductions? .... actually happened or sheer downright imagination / tomfoolery?

Lets look at the maths. If every star in this galaxy was a grain of sand ( approx. 100 billion ) you would have enough sand to fill an Olympic size swimming pool. how many habitable planets around each star ? Between 0 and 5 maybe.
There are approx 100 billion galaxies. Again if each star was a grain of sand there would be more sand than on every beach on earth. The chances are there is life elsewhere and in all probability the seeds of life on earth came from somewhere else as explained by the panspermia hypothesis.
And the alien abductions? ,,,we're just studying 8)

There has to be. It would be naive to think otherwise. In what shape or form I don't know but I doubt if it's the stereotypical alien we all see on the TV but some type of life form. Alien abduction? What stupid creature would want to abduct a human being?! I'd steer well clear of this poisoned planet. A lot of hoaxes I reckon but I did see something once as I lay down on the bed (no, not what you're thinking). I looked out the window and saw what I thought was a star. Then it started slowly quivering, then moved to the right, hovering, up down, then left again and hovered (I've just re-read this and it sounds dubious!). This went on for an hour so I do have a little curiosity as to what it could have been....

The universe is supposedly infinite. With a million of other solar systems and plenty of other planets like Earth who are capable of harbouring life. So..yes..I do believe that there are life forms somewhere else.

As for alien abductions, quite possibly. Some may be just imagination, but there could also be some true stories out there.

Alien abduction stories are just the product of too much Pabst Blue Ribbon.

But I think it highly unlikely that there isn't some other form of life out there in a universe as vast and complex as this, don't you? Since amino-acid-like molecules have repeatedly been manufactured using a few organic chemicals and some fake lightning, it seems almost impossible this hasn't happened millions of times on other planets, and surely some of them were hospitable enough to support life?

Quite possibly there are other liforms out there. Statistics suggests it, since the possible places for life to evolve are so many. Of course, statistics isn't always right, but it's a valid, fully scientific possiblity.
Alien abductions? Not so much. All the "evidence" of this is anecdotal. Even if other inteligent (or rather techologicaly capable) lifeforms exist out there, it is unlikely the would come here - interstellar travel isn't very practical.

Why would we be the only freaks of nature? OUt of billions of stars in the universe is earth the only grain of sand with "intelligent" life? NO! I believe it because it makes absolute sense. Now as for aliens abductions... since it's mostly Bubba or Gomer from Dooyercusin Arkansas, I think its fair to say any visitors are not impressed!

there must be life somewhere else in the universe. Look at the math the universe is infinitely large correct. plug infinity into just about any statistical equation you can think of and you get infinity or zero. Zero is obviously impossible because we exist. There are no abductions, just drunk hicks, that's why the aliens never land at MIT or some respectable place where the opinions matter. They just land where Billy-bob and his cousin are fishing.

I believe there is life elsewhere in universe, no I do not believe in the abduction. And the reason people think aliens go in a flying saucer is because during world war two Aldof Hitler wanted an aircraft that could not be detected and can go extremely fast and have wepeons.Hitler did not finish his saucer and the blueprints fell into U.S. hands. So the U.S. might have made them and tested them and someone thought it was aliens.

I think there has to be other life forms SOMEWHERE. We can't be the ONLY creatures in the entire universe. That would be an awful waste of space. I don't think they have the technology to get here and abduct random people though. It wouldn't be worth it. They'd probably want to try and communicate.
