The best thing to do with it that I can think of right off the top of my head is to install a $12 tv tuner card in it, and then use it as a TV or even give it to someone who does not have a TV among the missionaries of a nearby church. For example, these missionaries that I know would kill to have a TV for their 4 year old at home.

upgrading a pc nowadays is not at all economical & practical. The budget of ugradation is almost equal to buying a new pc. You can increase the Hard drive memory by installing new hard drive but for increasing the performance there are not much options as the processor is very slow.

Hi,

Here are some ideas:

1. Donate it to a charity. An old computer is better than nothing to someone in need.

2. Use it as a file server to back up important files.

3. Use it as a sercurity device by hooking up a WebCam or X10 camera and monitor you home.

Target practice, doorstop, throw it from the top of a tall building and film it in slow-motion, step stool, planter for a houseplant, give it to someone you don't like for Christmas, put wheels on it and use it as a geeky skateboard.

Donate it to your local Moose Lodge for the children. Ours has 4 and the kids love to play and even do homework on them.

Fill it up with gasoline and either light a fuse and run, or shoot it a few times with a 30 odd 6 and watch it shoot sky high.

Donate it to a place that will fix it and give it to the people that can not afford their own computer....

or you could also donate it to a school where they teach electronics so they can learn to fix them.......

Make it some type of server, file server, proxy server, DHCP server, router. I usually just use them for target practice though.
