I think the players are still responsible to make the plays. What do you think?

No it's not Cox's fault the Braves are losing. He does the best with what he's given. This season he was given a team that has poor pitching that is something that he cannot change. Only the GM can change that by acquiring some good pitching either by trade or through free agency.

I agree. It's also the bullpen's fault. They keep blowing leads for the starters. I think the reign of the Braves in the NL East will be coming to an end. Having to rely on too many young players and vets not performing has taken it's toll.

It's the bullpens fault. A recent stat has the bullpen blowing 15 save opportunities. Guess how many games the Braves are behind the Mets? Bobby has to work with what he's got. He can't turn poop into gold.

No Bobby Cox proved over and over again for the past several years he can win. It is time for a change in atlanta. They need a big acquistion or coach change, something to have a spark. Even though they won their devision for the past 100 years they haven't gone further.

I think that the Players are just getting tired of playing and a lot of the veterans are going to retire soon and the Braves have to work hard if they want to make the postseason this year.

Speaking of the Atlanta Braves, what ever happened to Dave Justice?

They're hitting OK as a team (.263) with moderate power, but their pitching staff is the 2nd worst in the NL (4.84 ERA, worse than the Cubs and the Pirates, only better than the Brewers), with opponents hitting .277 against them.

Far cry from the rotation of Glavine, Maddux, Smoltz, and Avery that used to dominate the NL.

Keep in mind that there are a lot of newer players on the team. The older ones like Chipper and Andruw Jones are keeping it together, but hopefully this year will good experience for the rest of them.

No I just think they need some good Hitters and just a little impovement on Pitching!! but they just don't seem to want to play as good as they used to.

No they just suck...no pitching to go with the young talent. The rotation is horrible...
