I don't want to give you the "bad" answer or be a bad influence to you, but if I were in your position, I wouldn't tell her. It's just something that you're old enough to keep to yourself, and you should trust yourself with that kind of information.
But if you want to tell her, there's no easy way of telling her. You just got to be blunt and say it. Oh, you can always tell her when she's in a good mood, not when she's PMSing =)

As a mom myself, I'm sure she will be proud of you for keeping the lines of communication open with her.
Tell her something like, "Mom, I need to have a heart-to heart talk with you", and make sure she isn't preoccupied with something else at the time, like a phone conversation. Just come out and tell her. She will hopefully get you put on birth control. if it isn't too late. I personally wish you would have waited a few years, because sex is a complicated mixture of maturity and emotions that you know nothing about yet. It isn't too late to stop. Be bold and don't do it again for a long, long while and don't put yourself in temptation's way. Be a good kid, honey. It only comes around once.

Just be honest with her about it. You made a very adult decision to have sex, so act like an adult and talk to her about it honestly. She may not agree or like your decision if you are young, but she will respect you for telling her the truth.
There is no right way to tell her - just sit her down and tell her that you need to talk. Explain to her that you don't want her to treat you differently but that you need her support and love.

don't. really, why would you unless you need advice or her permission to go to planned parenthood for birth control? some things moms just don't want to know until you're an adult.

well why would you want to tell her first of all? It's your own personal life, not hers.

You can be honest when the subject comes up and remind her that she taught you well about protection and protecting yourself. It worked for me.
