No, it's not time for Shaq to retire yet. He still has a good 3-4 years left in him. He may not be the dominant player as he once was but he still is dominant enough to command double and even triple teams. It all starts with Shaq in the middle for the Heat. You feed it to the Big Fella and he will throw it back out to the shooters. It's 50-50. He's in good shape and can still run up and down the court faster than most centers. He will retire when he knows he can't be productive for his team anymore. Right now, he still has a lot to offer.

No, Shaq has many years of playing left in him. With Wade by his side he could go on forever. During the NBA finals, even though he wasn't as dominate as in past finals, Shaq was moving very well defending against Dallas. But injuries might cause him to retire early. Shaq has to stay healthy during the off season.

Me personally I think it is time for Shaq to retire. He has never been any good to me in the first place. He barely could make a shot underneath the basket.

With Dwayne Wade on his team, he still has many years in him because he doesn't have to tire himself out by dunking over people. Wade is now the focal point of the offense, so Shaq won't produce as much. I think he shouldn't retire yet.

Shaq was all NBA first team this year... he's still the best center in the NBA...

And, he absolutely DESTROYED Ben Wallace (2nd team all NBA) in the Playoff series. We're STILL waiting for Wallace to show up...where is he? Has anyone seen Ben Wallace??

Even if he is only 20% of what he used to be, that's still better than 100% of Ben Wallace, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Yao Ming, or any other center in the NBA.

If he wants to go out on top, he should retire. He still has a couple of good years left, but his great years are over.

no, cuz if you watch games, shaq is still the main focus of teams when they are playing defense. What he does for his team is draw a whole lotta double teams, and that gives Dwayne wade a lot of easy opportunities at the rim.

I'm afraid FREAKZILLA is right on the money......until Shaq can be less involved in the team I don't see him retiring anytime soon

Why should he? He's just about at the top of his game. He's not my favorite player, but I see no reason for him to retire right now besides the fact that he's got enough $!)

some people don't know when to quit. In Shaq's case, he'll probably be in a wheelchair and be taller and bigger than most players so he can play until he dies.
