Time travel to the future is theoretically possible. Travel in space at near-light speed for a short time and a much longer period of time will have passed on Earth. Or you could have yourself cryogenicly frozen (though I'd wait until they perfect the revival process) and see the future that way.

It would be a good thing to see the progress of mankind, but you may have a hard time fitting in. Since there's no way to travel backwards in time, you would be stuck there.

It's called fiction and usually it's just for entertainment purposes so I'd say it's a good thing. Want to prove time travel is not really possible--ask yourself this question: If someone could travel back in time don't you think he would have done it already?

Time travel goes on everyday. Ever hear of people traveling by plane going from coast to coast through one time zone after another? You either go forward or backward in time, from one hour to three. Going to other countries across the oceans is even more time traveling. The time travel you're thinking of is very good!

I think if it were possible, then... given what we know about the way people behave and the choices they make, we'd suddenly find ourselves with a hellish nightmare world on our hands.
