There is much pointing to the fact that we don't want to get too heavily involved in a conflict with N Korea for fear of upsetting our giant, communistic trade partner, China. Would it be possible then, to effect change in N Korea by putting pressure on Walmart (who sources the vast majority of it's goods from China) to throw it's weight into the fray? This could be done by a US effort to boycott Chinese made goods from Walmart (and all other stores) whereby Walmart would pass on the problem to China (who surely does not want to lose Walmart business) who would in turn put pressure on their little communist brother to knock this nuke thing off.

Complicated, so I hope I've stated it clearly. Does it have any merit?

OK, this has become a Walmart love/hate session (I'm surprise no one has bashed Bush yet) so without some actual answers relating to the question soon, this question will self destruct in 10...9...8.....7....6.....

What or who is going to save this country from Walmart? (Serious question.)

It may pay to buy American...but its cheaper and easier to buy Chinese.

As for having WalMart put pressure on China...you're kidding right? What makes you think an economic boycott will make China help us? If anything, it'll make the situation worse. Plus, doing this to China would only kill any cooperation in the UN.

i have long advocated the boycott of walmart rasing the price just a penny would increase casher pay hel 10 bucks an hour easy.one more penny and you could pay stockers 40 dollars an hour and do not doubt this next time you go check out count the items and say would you pay one or two more cents to give them health care so it is walmart that will not change business cause then all business would follow why do we allow bad companies that max profits and under pay workers perpetuating the status quoe'.

Actually, America benefits when people buy the best products at the best prices. When those products come from another country, it is better in the end when we stop production of items we can not sell competitively.

China is frustated with that "Little Man" and I mean little, in N Korea as well. Plus, it's in their back yard.
