Pretty easy. That's what layers are for in Photoshop.

First separate the eye element using the Pen Tool to make a precise selection, copy to clipboard.

Now select Image_Adjustments_Desaturate. Image changes to grayscale. Paste on the colour eyes element.

Now you can change the eye colour to your heart's content using Image_Adjustments_Hue/Saturation. Push the Hue slider left or right until you like a colour!

1. Put the whole image in a layer.
2. Copy what you want to stay in color and paste into a second layer.
3. Convert the layer with the whole image to greyscale.
4. Put the colored elements on top of the b&w image.

Copy your photo onto a new layer. Go to Layer- New Adjustment Layer - Hue/Saturation click OK when the window opens. Move the Saturation slider all the way to the left. Click OK. Get your eraser tool. Erase the black and white image (make sure you are on the Hue/Saturation layer) wherever you want the color on the layer below (your original photo) to show through.

several ways. the easiest is to add an adjustment layer, (the little half black half white circle in the bottom of the layers pallete) or layer->new adjustment layer-> hue saturation... desaturate -100 and press enter.. that will make everything B/W...

then because it is an adjustment layer you can mess with it... you can clik on the white box (layer mask) next to the hue/sat. adjustment symbol in the adjustment layer and paint out the mask... paint the area you DON'T want to affect with the mask black... and the good thing about adjustment layers, is you can always go back if it didn't work...

sounds a lot more complicated than it is...

There's many ways you can do this, one way is to make a copy of your image, put it into greyscale, put it as a layer on top of your old image, and use the eraser toll and erase just the eyes, leaving that effect. THere are other more complex ways (and better looking) of doing this, but you'll need to learn how to use Path's and other such tools. If you'd like more information on how to do such things there are many tutorials online, or else you could contact me and I'll walk you through it.

Cut out or copy the eyes into a different layer then add the different effects into each layer. Use feather to make fine blends and transitions.
