Must be a U.S. citizen.

3.Applicant was a dependent of a U.S. federal or military employee serving overseas.

Must possess a valid state driver’s license at the time of appointment.

My brother is in the Border Patrol and he went through something like boot camp in Glenco, GA. It took about six weeks and when he was done he had an assignment as a Border Patrol Agent in San Diego. Of course if you really want to work with the Border Patrol, the thing to do these days in join the National Guard. LOL ;-)

Good luck to you!

Great Career Choice! You have to contact the Border Patrol and find out where you can take their Exam...theyre training center is in Georgia...but here in El Paso Texas we have the exam center...call them and find out where you have to go to take the exam...and remember after that you have to pass an Interview with other Agents...they put u thru the Test of seeing how much common sense you have in calling for back up ....they also give you a Physical test to see how agile you are...Good Luck

If you have a bright mind, you may want to reconsider.
The joke of Homeland Security (I've worked for DHS since it started as my dept was transferred) is not a career environment for sure.
You will quickly learn that ALL DHS jobs are nothing more than window dressing to make the appearance that the public is safer, but they really are not.
