Louisville...they have the #2 running back in the country (Michael Bush) and the #7 rated quarterback (Brian Brohm). Plus, Bobby Patrino is considered among the elite in college football coaches. They have had the #1 rated offense in the country over the last 2 years, averaging about 49 points a game. Its an easy call.

The 2005 All-ACC team had no Seminoles on the first team. That should change this year, starting at quarterback. Drew Weatherford completed 59 percent of his passes for 3,208 yards and 18 touchdowns and also ran for three scores.
Weatherford won’t be hurting for targets, with Chris Davis and Greg Carr both returning. Davis led the ’05 Noles with 51 catches. Carr, at 6'6", proved to be the big-play man, posting team highs with 20.6 yards per reception and nine touchdowns.
Lorenzo Booker returns for his senior year at tailback after leading FSU in rushing with 552 yards and four TD runs, and he wasn’t even the starter. Booker also posted touchdown catches of 71 and 57 yards. The offensive line dealt with injuries last year and, despite the return of three starters, still is thin. Tackle David Obermyer and guards Jacky Claude and Cory Niblock return to their posts, Mario Henderson finished last season at left tackle, and junior college transfer Shannon Boatman is a welcome addition.
The graduation of end Kamerion Wimbley and tackle Brodrick Bunkley might take some of the starch out of a fierce pass rush. End Darrell Burston and tackle Andre Fluellen will try to pick up the slack after combining for 12.5 tackles behind the line last fall. Hard-hitting two-year starter Buster Davis is back at middle linebacker and is the linchpin of the defense. Davis and speedy corner Tony Carter are the only returning starters in the back seven.
The 2006 schedule begins with a Monday Night game at Miami on Sept. 4 and ends with a visit from Florida on Nov. 25.
My pick: Second in the ACC Atlantic
Returning Starters
5 offense, 5 defense, kickers
Air ball
The 2005 Seminoles led the ACC in passing offense at 283 yards per game.
Incoming!
The Noles ranked third nationally last year in tackles for loss with 9.7 per game, and seventh in sacks with 3.46 per game.
Bright future
There were 27 true and redshirt freshmen who saw game action last year for Florida State, and still there are only six scholarship seniors on the 2006 projected two-deep.
