I would not say that it is only yuppies who are pronouncing these words correctly now - many Americans are beginning to understand that just because we might wish to pronounce it according to our own accents doesn't mean that is the correct pronounciation of the word. Check your facts before you make a judgement on something because you do not know more about it.

Italian
China
For some reason north american needs to treat you like dog **** before you get any rights on their land. Then cry about it when they get treated like that in other countries.
the reason is that once they do this, you will be appreciative of what you get and never forget who has the power.
When america attacks nobody interferes or argues but the other way around doesnt hold true.

Technically, it's ear-ack and ear-on, (as in 'irritate') but a lot of people say I-rack and I-ron. I've never heard E-rack and E-ron.
