I live there and there is quite a lot to do. #1 is Greenfield Village/Henry Ford Museum. There's also Comerica Park to see the best baseball team in the country. Greektown is a nice and safe place downtown as well as Foxtown. There are three casinos in Detroit and 1 in Windsor. Speaking of Windsor....you might like what is known as "Windsor Ballet" - which are the total nude strip clubs.

Hey there, if you're driving by Detroit, check out the Detroit River. You can see Windsor (Canada) across the river, pretty neat. You can see Comerica Park also, that's the Detroit Tiger's stadium. There are two casinos there as well: Motor City Casio and MGM Grand. It's definatly worth stopping by though, Detroit is a very nice city.

Well, the Tigers are out of town for that week; so it really depends what you're into. Greektown is great for a night, great food, some casino action and definitely the Astoria Bakery for some desert. For a daytime event, Greenfield Village is a good choice, but there's construction on Southfield Fwy. Local fireworks shows will also be around. . . www.clickondetroit.com (local nbc affilliate) usually has a posting with citie's fireworks.

Henry Ford Museum. I don't know if you can get in, but the Ford Rouge Factory tour (part of the Henry Ford Museum) takes you to see the factory where they build the F-150. It's totally cool.

Whatever expressway you are traveling by, you will see that by the scenery, you should just save your money for your ultimate destination. - but if you are serious, there are gun stores to browse, gun ranges to visit, pics to take of graffiti, abandoned buildings to tear down, intriguing people to meet like our crimelord mayor and women that need money for crack. We'll leave the light on for ya!
