No milk until she is a year old. You can stop the formula and switch to cows milk at that time. Or you can *not* give her milk and still stop the formula when she is a year old. It's a personal decision.

you should start weaning her off formula at 11 months old.
Start filling the bottle with 2oz of regular milk and the rest formula. Do this for a week and then go to 4 oz. of regular milk and the rest formula. Do this for two weeks and see how her poop is doing. As long as she isn't having diarrhea bad then after 2 weeks up the dose of regular milk. IF you see that she is having runny poop then back off with the regular milk. Don't stop it all together just put a little less in her formula next time.
They aren't suppose to have pure milk until they are a year old so if you start her out at 11 months, by the time she is a year old she should be ready.
Good luck.

i introduced my daughter to a sippy cup with milk in it around 10 1/2 months. It shouldn't become their primary drink until about 1 year. I allowed her to learn to use the sippy cup with milk so she would get a couple ounces are day which is perfectly find. What you don't want to start doing is putting it in a bottle because it will be much harder to wean her from the bottle if you do so and it's really not good for their teeth. My daughter was proficient with the sippy cup at 11 1/2 month and weaned from nursing at that time.

EDIT ... by the way the reason doctors don't want you to give your child cow's milk is because it doesn't provide the nutrients that the formula and breast milk do which is what the child needs at that time. Unless they baby is lactose intolerant he/she will have no problem digesting cow's milk - most formulas are cow milk based.

Speak with you doctor if you have concerns .. which I am sure you know already :)!

Good Luck ... enjoy your little one.

My mother in law and sister in law both has put babies on whole milk at 6 months. I have a 11 month old and I give her milk now. I started giveing her some milk at about 9 months. I still give her formula but some milk too. It just depends on the baby.

dont start giving her milk at all until she is a full year old. once she turns a year old you do it by ounces. example: if your baby normally drinks a 6 oz bottle you would put 5 oz formula and 1 oz milk for 1-2 days and then go to 4 oz formula and 2 oz milk for 1-2 days and just keep weening her off of the formula until you have 100% milk (dont worry if it doesnt agree with her, you will know). but thats normally have you ween them, and the great thing is they never know!

My boys' pediatrician says after one year, babies should be transitioned to whole cows milk. For three days, mix up a mixture of 3 parts formula to 1 part milk, then for the next three days, 2 parts formula to 2 parts milk, then for three more days, 1 part formula to 3 parts milk. By this point, your baby will be on whole milk only. This is for picky babies who don't like the taste of cow's milk. Their doctor said if you give them a little and they like it, just take them off of formula cold turkey...won't hurt them. Both of my boys were formula fed and neither one had a problem transitioning to cows milk.

You can start giving her milk at 12 months of age. I have never had any problems switching my kids from formula to milk as soon as they turned 12 months old. My kids took to milk easy. They liked it more than their formula.

I started with my daughter at about 10 months because she refused to drink formula, but I did water down the milk a little.

I started my older two at about 6 months old with watered down milk. My youngest one I started at about 5 months because she wouldn't drink formula. I watered it down even more than usual, but nothing bad had come of it for any of them, except they love milk(I go through 4-5 gallons a week)

wait til she is 11 months old to start introduceing cows milk to her! start by putting only 1 ounce at a time of cows milk mixed with 7 ounces of formula in her bottle, do this for a week, then the next week, add 2 ounces of cows milk mixed with 6 ounces of formula, then the 3rd week, add 3 ounces of cows milk mixed with 5 ounces of formula, keep doing this til there is only cows milk in her bottle and she is at least 1 yrs old! i did this with my daughter, when she was 11 months old and by then time she turned 1, she was off the formula and on cows milk! oh i also agree with the sippy cup answer, start introduceing the sippy cup now if you haven't already! i introduced the sippy cup to my daughter around 6 months of age, but she wasn't really interested in useing it til about 10 months old and by the time she was 15 months old, i didn't have a problem with breaking her from the bottle!
