I like you am like a fork in a microwave when I'm on the beach.

I don't "tan" I turn red, but what I do provides me with full color without burning. My cardnal rules are never out between 11:30 and 1:30, I crisp up too quick durring that time, if I'm at the beach I'm hiding in the shade. Also no more then 3 hours of sun, and never without sunscreen at some point.

Day one - 15 minutes each side with nothing on. After the first 30 minutes is up I go for a swim to cool off, get out and right under an umbrella where I dry off and put on some SPF 15. I'll sun for about another hours 15 minutes on each side. If I feel warm and toasty I get in the shade.

Day Two - 15 SPF every hour that I am in the some. Again if I get toasty into the shade.

Day Three - Skip the beach, do something else and not in direct sunlight. Let the first two days heal into a base layer.

Day Four - 30 SPF every hour, fliping to keep even. I'll even go so far as to bring sweat pants and a long sleeve sirt. If one part (upper or lower) of my body is getting to much, I'll cover it up and continue to sun.

Day Five - Try not to sun, but if I do I wear a 45 SPF (or higher).

After that I maintain as needed.

Just because you have red hair doesn't mean you can't tan. Usually red-heads have fair skin which maked it difficult for the skin to tan. Embrace the beauty stay natural! Pale is the new tan!

Personally, I think redheads with pale white skin are hot, but that's me. Also, excessing tanning can lead to skin cancer.
