Hi there, I am going to answer this question from a brat kid's perspective. I was one of those kids who made my mom feel awful when I was 11 - 15. I am astonished now thinking back on it, how she even put up w me at all and why she didnt run away.
I just wanted to say that no matter how hard to handle your kids are now, and how unappreciated and stressed out you may feel, one day they will come around and really truly appreciate what you did for them. I adore my mom now and would do anything for her - all the more so because I myself realize what I have put her through. So hang in there :) And yes - all the advice above is great... good luck.

Just take a break and relax. I have 3 boys at home this summer 6, 7, and 9. I feel that way at least once a day. My husband works and comes home and doesn't understand how stressed I am and doesn't want to participate in disipline. You are not the only one. If you need to talk, e-mail me.

No, I used to constantly have fantasies about getting in my truck and never coming back.

Try to get away for a while if you can or just go in the bathroom and take a bubble bath. The kids will get older and eventually leave home. The husband is another story.

i can honestly say that you have had a hard time... but i think that u need to just take more time for yourself and go visit your sister or your parents....you need time for yourself....start keeping a journal and write down how you feel and let me make mistakes. I'm never gonna learn if you keep me in a plastic bubble... no more tryin 2 hide how you feel....tell us... when youre mad instead of yelling at us try to talk it out-we wont get defensive...we love you and we dont want you to run away ever! its hard enough when you are gone from us for just a few days. I love you!

I understand you, you are stressed, relax, let your hubby and someone take care of the kids, go vacation with friends or just by yourself. do it, you really need it, you will feel better, run away is not a solution, maybe separation with hubby, take turn to take care of the kids so you can take a break, best wishes.

no, it's called walk-away-wife syndrome. I suggest you take time for yourself with your family's support, get some support from the community if at all possible, and once the kids get a little older things will be better.
