How many jobs have you had in the past 2 years? If you jump from job to job every few months, you're going to discover that it's harder to get a job in the future. Employers don't want to hire someone who has shown a past tendency to leave jobs after just a few months. You really should suck it up and try to stay in one position for a year or so to show that you have stability.

You are playing a dangerous game if you skip a job constantly it will show up on your work record and that would make you look unstable in the employer's eyes even if you try to explain which would not be a great idea because they may feel you will do the same to them as well you are in the corporate world no one said it would be easy! So try to make your next job the last stop or you might want to try working for yourself I hope I don't sound rude I don't mean to.

The days of staying with the same company for 30 years are gone. The average person changes jobs every 3 years, so don't worry about leaving if you're not happy.

It won't look good on your resume. Prospective employers will wonder what your problem is. Maybe you're not cut out for the business world. What would you rather do? You could get teaching credentials or learn a tech skill and perhaps be happier with your job.

I think it is okay but many prospective employers do not. I graduated in 2000 and i just found the job that i want and actually like. Hold onto the job you have now and keep looking!

I don't think there's anything wrong with finding a job that you can be happy doing but I also know that a lot of employers won't take you very seriously when you haven't spent very much time in one place. They will think you'll do the same if they hire you so it will become harder to land a job.

Yes, it is ok to soul search. but make sure it does not make you look inconsistent when you put it on your resume for your work history. i get a feel that you are a free spirit who would do good at being freelance or owning business in the long run. while you're changing jobs, make sure you remember what it is that you do enjoy doing. perhaps you can use your knowledge in the funner fields like entertainment, art, or managing in a boutique.

Yes, I am in the same boat. I can't find another job.
Mind you , i have a nice office and can play on the net all day but i ain't getting rich and there is no excitement whatsoever.
I suggest you stay where you are until you find something better or something better finds you.

I think now is the time to do it before you are stuck in a job you hate for 20 years. Also do it now before you have a mortgage, kids, and a pension you don't want to lose.

If you don't like a job, you should find a new one but put more thought in the next one. After a few jobs ,you gotta think, is it the jobs or is it me?
