while i realize all the facts in the case - that the president was unaware, and the reporter graciously forgave him, the president's inability to keep his foot out of his mouth never ceases to amaze me.

Oh boo hoo. It isn't like he knew. Get over it.

In answer to your question, YES I AM PROUD THE PRESIDENT MOCKED A MAN WEARING SUNGLASSES. SINCE HE WAS NOT AWARE OF THE CONDITION, IT WAS DISRESPECTFUL IN THE EYES OF THE PRESIDENT. YOU GO GEORGE!

Oh get over it. It was unfortunate that the reporter had an ocular disease, but it wasn't intended in a malicious manner. Have you never made inappropriate comment and regretted it later when the facts were known.

Frankly I don't care if you are a democrat or not. It is a cheap shot none the less, and frankly just asking it makes you look as bad as the president did. If you are going to start your questions by trying to slander other people's beliefs (i.e BUSHBOTS) then you have to expect it won't be received favorably by all. Also, just for the record - I don't want your 10 points, but thanks for the 2.

I want to say that I am NOT in any way, a Bush supporter. I can't stand the little monkey man. But I really do believe he just used poor judgement and never even considered that the person might be blind. I think, in this case, that Bush made an assumption (we all know what that gets us) that the guy was just wearing the sunglasses as an accessory. His comment, in that scenario, would not have been considered inflammatory at all. Thing is, as a man in his powerful position, he needs to think first, speak later...and never assume anything purely based on what he sees (no pun intended).

Post 9/11, You have to be careful. He is a smart one much of the time, but He meant no harm. And the Gentleman that it was directed to, took no offense. So why should You?

I don't think anyone is a bushbot.

Mr. Bush kids with the press corps all the time. Neither he nor his staff was made aware of the fact this man had a disease. The reporter wasn't offended, the president apologized what more do you want? If GW walked on water, I guess you would hollar: "GEORGE BUSH CANT SWIM!"
