Why do people care if I am gay or not? Why do people want to hurt me because of what I do in the privacy of my own bedroom? Who cares if I like the Hershey Highway or not? Why are these people so mean? If they don't like me, why don't they just stay away from me?

First... show me in the bible where it says... "being gay is a sin"... next PROVE that the bible is not fiction... If I told you that I wrote a book because an invisible person dictated it to me... would you classify that as fact or fiction?

Or would you say I was insane?

Fear. People fear what they don't understand. And sometimes, people fear what they don't accept when they know who they really are. It's not you:

It's themselves.

The Bible is true, and I'm using it against you and what it says is "Being gay is a sin" Read it u REALLY REALLY NEED 2. Also do you want to go to Heaven now listen to a real Christian not people who can't get stuff through their heads! Now since you weren't raised to believe God I feel sorry for u and since your gay I feel more sorry for u. Now u can be gay all u want as long as it doesn't effect me. And they don't care neither do I. And if they hurt you then call the police and people like Hershey's choclate. And people don't know if your gay only if you say u are or act like it.

Also 4 u people who say "If anyone's gonna use the Bible I'm gonna puke or scream" just be quiet the Bible is the truth and I like the truth, even if you don't want to admit it being gay is a sin and I don't hate gay people but I just read the Bible.

1 more thing 4rgot2rember is right and most of u are wrong. A gay having the time of his life with the same sex is gross and no one would be jealous of that. People actually can pick their own cloths wanna see some gay people see "America's Next Top Model"

That's a great question. If anyone sits here and quotes the Bible, I'm gonna puke-People- when your life is perfect come before us and judge and quote all you want. Take your anger out on some cell phone companies or the gas companies or the medical industry!!!! Don't wasted your time with gays,,,, there are people screwing you so hard you'd go blind if you all knew.

Don't you just LOVE idiots who have issues with gays yet they're banging their secretary or fooling around with a 14 year old or cheating on their taxes or embezzling money or riping customers off like ALL the cell phone companies or fondling people in their parish or making 298 million dollars a year while we pay 3.19 a gallon for gas or killing people in Iraq or abusing children or animals or the elderly or treating their employees or children badly... I can go on and on and on.

That's why these people that do this and say mean things are COMPLETE MORONS and HYPOCRITS. They are in SERIOUS denial about their own lives and they are really too uneducated to see the big picture. They'd rather look and point the finger at something obvious rather than trying to do something constructive like changing the world one issue at a time.

I got two workds for you people that try and cast stones on gays: GAS PRICES.

The Bible is not fiction, but it also says that everyone has sinned. As to whether or not being gay is wrong, well... the Bible has been translated over many years by MAN, and has lost some of the original text. For example, the King James Version was translated by a bunch of drunk monks. Also there are SEVERAL other sins listed in the Bible. My Bible says sin is sin, and God will be the judge of all. Anybody that judges or mistreats you is hypocritical. I imagine there will be alot of people in heaven that we never thought we'd see, and alot of people we will miss because they thought they knew everything and didn't. May God have mercy on us all! And to you, follow your heart. Life is too short to be miserable, and I don't think God wants us to be alone because of what man thinks!

I have been on this thing for a while now and this may be the first intelligent question I have come across. When I was a child, I used to call people ***** and so on. Without really knowing what I was saying. As I got older it was, Oh ****** with a white girl. Then one day out of the blue I asked myself, why? I, for the life of me could not come up with a good answer. Why do I take the time and energy to hate? More importantly how do I stop? I kind of had to reprogram myself. I started to look at people as individuals and not as a collective of media hyped monsters. I also had to stop hanging out with people bred in ignorance. Now for the record, I am a 37-year-old heterosexual male. I try to look at myself and every other person on the planet as being on there own journey, with their own individual path and with their own troubles and moments of happiness. Life is too short to hate. If being gay is who you are, be gay. I for one do not hate you. Be happy.
PS. I agree the bible is fictional.

People seem to have hate for people different then themselves. Don't let them get to you. I don't particularly have a religion, a.k.a. I HAVEN'T read the bible. Honestly I don't think highly of it.

Your question asks why people are disturbed by that. Answer why some people don't like people with darker skin and Ill tell you that. And sometimes people see, gay, men around town. In this case they can't "stay away". But it's their fault for bringing it up. People are mean for different reasons. It could be the way they were brought up or maybe personal experience. The list is endless.

And the whole thing about to going to hell. Puh-Lease. That's another load of ****. The way you were born doesn't affect your life. Unless of course...you were premature..that has nothing to do with it. Well hopefully you won't get too much unfairness, and I wish you the best. :)

#1. If you want people to respect you and your beliefs do not disrespect them by stating "the bible is only fiction." Respect earned is respect given. It is hypocritical to want respect from people but not be willing to give it.

#2. People fear what they don't understand. People have been socialized to accept sexual relations and marriage between a man and a woman as "normal." Everyone else then must be "abnormal."

#3. It's not just people who believe in the Bible who dislike or hate gays. There are atheists who hate us as well.

#4. People have been taught for generations to hate or be suspicious of what is "different".

#5. People have hangups about sex period, as evidenced by the fact that it's been politicized, legislated, made "sacred" as if it is anything but pure pleasure to be enjoyed between the "pleasurers." Yes, sex can result in procreation, but if that is all it's for then tell my why straight people do it all the time and their intent is pure pleasure the majority of the time with no thought to procreation and more times than not - the HOPE that sex doesn't result in pregnancy. This attitude that sex is a "privilege" that a married man and woman only can have because they have to repopulate the world and therefore should be the only ones who derive pleasure is ridiculous - even straight people don't follow that one, as evidenced by all of the bastard children in the world.

#6. People are just uncomfortable even talking about sex because it's such a difficult subject and there is some "shame" attached to it, or parents wouldn't have such a difficult time talking about it to their children and vice-versa. Some people can't even say "masturbation" or hear the word without going through trauma. I will never for the life of me understand why diddling yourself is an issue, but whatever.

All you can do is stay away from ignorant people, enjoy those who love and accept who you are - they're the only ones that matter. Every time I hear about gay-bashing I am SO glad I live in northern California in the SF Bay Area. You can be who you are - we basically don't even react to what others see as "awful or strange." Case in point. There's a guy who rides a unicycle wearing a pink tutu - nobody even notices him really. People are more concerned with if the commuter train is late or not.

The Bible is not fiction. It is the inspired Word of God and a great reference on how we should behave, even in the privacy of our own bedrooms. First, you should not worry about what others think or say, they do not have a heaven or hell to put you in. Your main concern is whether or not you are pleasing God with your actions. He is the one who created you and He is the one who has kept you alive thus far. It is all about mercy and grace. If your sincerely pray to God, repent and ask Him for a solution, He will show you the right thing to do.

I don't believe the bible is fiction. The bible is not fiction. Be warned! Now I believe people in general are mean. Its the human race. Some are nice, good and others are evil, racist etc. But make no mistake about it that we cannot judge those who are mean or evil. We cannot jugde you or me or anyone for that matter. God is the ultimate JUDGE. Think of it as more like KARMA: what goes around usually comes back.

Some people are just mean like that. Now about the bible being fiction, I believe in the Bible, but it says not to judge people. So if that's your preference then I am not going to be mean to you or bash you about it. I have an aunt that's gay. She is my favorite aunt and I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world.
