For years the wrestling promotions wanted everyone to believe wrestling was real or a sport. Vince McMahon changed all of that about 10-15 years ago when he started calling his wrestling promotion, Sports Entertainment.
The moves such as the bodyslams, jumping off ropes, etc are real. The moves with the kicks are staged, they aren't really kicking one another it just appears that way. A majority of the wrestlers have legitimate injuries resulting in surgery from these moves.
The chairs, the tables and all other objects they find under the wrestling mats to use as weapons are staged or scripted.

Wrestling isn't real but the moves are real. So, you can really hurt someone if you put them in a "figure four". Also,they really do slap each other and hit each other with chairs.

no, i think the punches and the kickes and the nut crackers are fake. but a have talked to a wrestler who says that the moves like the grand slam and the ones where people are picked up and droped are acually real.

It depends...it is totally scripted but some parts are real like the blood when they cut themselves and do some things.
