I do not believe it's a conspiracy. Here's why:
IF the government was reponsible, then they would have to bribe all the people who were on the planes, all the family members of the people who were on the planes, all of the people who saw the planes... et cetera et cetera. A conspiracy like that would take YEARS to come up with, and even longer to execute. Which would mean that it would have had to have been thought up around the time that LBJ was in office, because that's about the same time that J Edgar Hoover was head of the FBI. Why is that? Because Hoover conducted many wiretaps.
Why would wiretaps be a necessity? Simple. To find the people that could be bribed to pull off such a stunt.
Now, considering the fact that we had a Democratic president in office from 1992-2000, and changes in the Senate, not to mention the FBI and CIA (and the NSA!), that would mean that either A) Clinton, former and current members of Congress and the Senate were in on it, as well as all of the FBI and CIA. Or B) That there was no conspiracy theory because something like that would have leaked.
Did the government have prior knowledge that the US was going to be attacked? YES! But just like Pearl Harbor, they didn't know when, where or how. The ONLY way 9/11 could have been prevented would have been to shut down all flights to, from and within the US. That wouldn't have made much sense, now would it? And then when there was no terrorist attack, the Bush administration would have been at fault.
Now, if there truly WAS a conspiracy, don't you think the goverment would be going to greater lengths to shut down the accusations? Loose Change has been around for awhile now, and Michael Moore hasn't been assassinated yet either.
Why don't you put all that energy that you have, and that thirst for the truth, into something a little more productive? Like, research. The aformentioned www.popularmechanics.com site would be a great place to start. The story is called "9/11: Debunking the Conspiracy Myths." You could also look into how many other events in history had their own conspiracy theories. And how many of them were disproved.

Of course it was a conspiracy. The FBI had all the hijackers under surveillance until a few weeks before 911. They were called off after they were supplied all the logistics & material needed to pull the 911 job. Yes the Bush/Cheney/Rove team maser minded the whole thing, knowing full well that an attack on American soil would infuriate the American public like it did when America asked Japan to bomb Pearl Harbor to rouse the SLEEPING BEAR the resolve of the American People. This ABOMINATION (Bush & crew) used this as a tool to get into Afghanistan where they took over the production of Opium, then on to Iraq to secure the oil there by any means necessary & now finally Iran to secure the oil there. The military uses 1/3 of all the revenues brought in by the government & approx 70% of that is centralized in the Middle East stationed there to protect Big Oil's interest. They have to keep that spigot open you know. We would't want the Oil Companies huge profits to start to slip now would we? We can produce all the Ethanol needed to power all our vehicles, equipment, homes etc right here in this country by upping our production of Ethanl by using not only Corn, but wheat, barley, green vegetables such as collard greens, broccoli etc & Methanol (wood alcohol. We need to come together "We the People'' & force our government to build Ethanol plants that can utilize green vegetation that can be turned into alcohol instead of throwing it into the landfills as we do now

I find it so sad that people who don't wish to at least keep an open-mind about 9/11, often resort to such immaturities as name calling, and silly accusations.

Bush was not the mastermind behind 9/11, but he was a key player. Please explain why once he heard the news at the school, he remained right where he was for an addtional 20 mins. If we were being attacked, and national security was threatened, should've Bush have been whisked away to an undisclosed location like Cheney was? Explain why FAA/NORAD was able to ground all flights within a 3 hr timespan, yet everyone was too inept to scramble fighter jets when those jetliners veered of course, when a response like that is standard procedure just a few hours before? Ask, ask, ask!!

I do not think it was a government conspiracy in any sense.

First, WHY??? To 'take away our right(s)'? Ridiculous.

Second, the various conspiracy theories have been disproven. See http://www.popularmechanics.com/science/defense/1227842.html?page=1&c=y for a summary of some of the more popular conspiracy theories.

Are you more willing to believe an article with 60 contributors from a magazine with a 100 year history, or what some unsubtantiated blogger put on the internet a couple of weeks or years ago???

If you choose the latter, may I STRONGLY recommend http://zapatopi.net/afdb/ !!!

Goverment conspiracy? WHO THE F*CK IS FILLING YOUR HEAD WITH SUCH GARBAGE YOU SIMPLETON!!! No, if that was possible than why are we pursuing this war. Don't you think the terrorists would'nt be bragging about how they wiped out a whole block in New York City? The goverment is a goverment, not a gang of murderers (although sometimes Ithink they are.)

Look at all of the photos of the Pentagon, including the size of the hole. There is no way a passenger jet could have flown that fast, that low, and made a hole that small. Plus, the one engine found was not off a passenger jet. And, where did the fuselage and wings disappear to? they can't just burn up. They never have in any other crash!

A government conspiracy? The government can't even handle a hurricane, let alone think up something so bad. Get your
head out of the sand !

if you research the subject then you can only draw the conclusion that this was indeed a false flag operation, designed to dramatically expand the publics acceptance of vast new authoritarian laws., sattelite imagery of the site weeks later revealed the temperatures still exceeding 1000 degrees, only thermite would cause this. check out infowars.com, or any alex jones documentary.

This was the first thing I thought as I watched the 2nd plane hit the WTC. It's been a gut feeling since it first happened, and I believe someday soon my gut feeling will be validated!

I am not convinced that it wasn't. My sister was in Tower 2 of the World Trade Bldg. I would like to know at least for that reason.
