I used to be a really good person, generous patient and kind. I'm still not a bad person, but somehow money and stress and work and family has given me a temper I can't control and the feeling that I am not a "good" person anymore. What can I do to be good again? I feel so lost...

dear inoty - you're still a really good person! The temper that's coming out is from frustration. After money, decide whether family or work is causing the most stress; if it's family, maybe it's a particular member of the family. If that's the case, try to keep your distance for awhile and, if you need to maintain contact, do it by a note or a call. In person on a regular basis is just too intense. When work has really stressed me out, I take a "mental health day" (aka sick day), plan and do whatever would make me happiest. If there's a movie you want to see and escape from the world, see a bargain matinee. Maybe a picnic lunch with a friend would ease the stress. It's amazing and refreshing what a difference one day makes. An affirmation wouldn't hurt either: "I now handle things with calm self-assurance and I feel good about myself." and God is always there to listen.

I am with you. Sometimes stress does that. You just need to pray and know that things will get better but sometimes they get worst first. After my divorce i was very bitter, things are starting to look up now. Keep the faith.

What you're experiencing is called "Life beating you down" syndrome. It comes with age.
If anyone tells you how to beat it effectively please let me know too.
