Forget the fact that the station they were on was powered by a hamster on a wheel connected to a 15 watt generator, but nevermind that...is it a bad thing that they couldn't maintain a high enough audience share in the ATL to stay on the air? Isn't this the way a free market works? Or should this be the catalyst for a communist style application of the so-called "fairness doctrine"? If liberalism is so competitive, why can't their mouthpiece in the radio world succeed without donations and help from wealthy limousine liberals? I look forward to being called names by all of the enlightened and tolerant lefties here. Cheers!

Victory? Hardly. But I do worry about my liberal friends...in fact, when they drop by, I hide the razor blades and Clorox. God only knows what they'll do in November when they wake up and they're still in the minority...I think I'll put Suicide Hotline on speed dial for them. MUAHAHAHAHAHAH!! Mine is an evil laugh...

I choked down an hour or two of Randi Rhodes via the internet about a year ago. I couldn't believe the vile crap she was spewing. I felt I couldn't criticize it if I'd never listened.
So, based on that, I can faithfully say that I am glad Air America is going down the tubes.

I really don't see the point in expending emotional energy over the loss a radio station. I do bemoan the fact that a pattern has been developing in this country in which a growing number of lower and middle class citizens have consistently supported laws, leaders and programs that are in direct contradiction to their own interests.
You mention "free market." Do you have any conception of what that term means or are you spouting party dogma in Pavlovian fashion? What happens to an uncontrolled "free market?" Don't think too hard or you'll get a brain cramp. I'll give you a hint; it's a popular boardgame in which the concentration of property in one owner's hands RAISES prices. Within the last twenty five or so years the trend in business has been consolidation as government reduced regulation. Now, Mr. "free market," explain how this promotes competition?
This leads to your next parrotted "talking point," The Fairness Doctrine, which you ironically conclude was "a communist style" regulation. I'm sure the irony is missed on you. Anyway, The Fairness Doctrine, if strictly enforced could have probably preserved our republic from the rapine policies that have dominated politics and economics since Reagan. What were the two major results of TFDs repeal? The massive growth of the lobbying industry and the legalization of bribery is a direct primary result of its repeal. A secondary indirect result (the FCC had to give it a nudge) was the consolidation of the Media industry into a small group of giant corporations who, "surprise, surprise, surprise," in their capacity as owners of the country's major source of information, will never, ever allow themselves to be criticized or investigated. This competition thing is working out so well, don't you think?
It's always a pleasure to point out how well you look in wool.

I can't say I've heard of Air America, but I do have some good news - Forget Satellite, you can have an internet station for some like a couple hundred startup, and 85 bucks a month, or something like that I forget.
Of course with your own server you can do it yourself.
Who want's to ban together to disseminate information out about the resistance to immigration and terrorism?
Any by the way, here's a link

Nobody's sad! It's horrible! Painful to listen to and embarrassing to hear. And I've been a registered Democrat for 20 years. It's so far left it's not even true. One day soon, the party will get rid of Dean and his ridiculous views and wake up to the fact that the majority of Dems (and the majority of Americans in general) is much more centrist than the leadership of either party (apparently) realizes. It's as if Air America is the voice of the ACLU. It's gutting being a democrat these days, what with the vitriol coming from the mouths of our supposed wingmen.

Be of good cheer, now you cons have victory to celebrate, it may be the last one you'll have for a while...
Please, anything negative happening to Democrats or Liberals (or any people for that matter) is a victory to the RNC.
You have liberal friends? Somehow I doubt you have any friends at all...
Oh and Randi Rhoades, I agree wholeheartedly, a little bit of her goes a LOOOONNNGGG way! I can't stand listening to her...

No because I rarely get emotional over a TV channel taken off the air. Should I cry over a TV station that I've never heard of?
Try again.

How could I be sad over the demise of a station that got it's start from robbing a boy's club bank account to get on the air?

Half the Al Frankin show is dedicated to discussing O'Rielly, Hannity, Limbaugh & what they say on their shows. People would rather listen directly instead of getting 2nd hand rants.
