The mumbling fraternity drunk's ultraliberal nationbuilding to justify his What So Proudly We Halliburton war has turned into sucker bait set by Al Qaida. As in Vietnam (which the girly-man Republicans chickened out of serving in), we are fighting to liberate people who want to kill us. Iraq is the right war in the wrongest possible place.

You do have a point, but we are not there for the reasons you discuss. We are there so that the buddies of Bush can make $, yes Haliburton with their ridiculous contracts, but also the big oil companies wanting to make good on their investments in the Caspian Sea area. Afterall, if you had untold billions invested, wouldn't you want to make good on it? Besides the military presence there helps protect those investments.

Not the same thing, Generals made their own decisions during the time of Custer, since President could not pick up phone or radio to say do not attack. Republicans do & have served in every war. Kerry only served because his deferment was denied & Edwards got a high draft # that did not get called - he could have joined if he was so patriotric. Both sides took deferments. I think you have been drinking or your mind has twisted to make your "own" truth & it is not the real truth. Which arm of service are you voluntarily in?
