Check it out... I can answer seriously...

I gave my kidney away to a friend 8 or 9 years ago. Honest and no joke. Our tissue matches up like brothers and he has not had an issue with rejection. My kidney dr. is all pissed at me though for not drinking enough water through the day... kidney stones and all...

I have often wondered about the tissue though. What is the DNA of the grafting and connecting tissue from my old kidney to his body anyway?

I won't even go into the spiritual side of it... Yes the Bearded One has a spiritual side...

I'm watching this question though. Nice to know I'm not the only one who has thought about this...

If you ever want to give up a kidney however, Swedish Med on the hill in Seattle is THE BEST!!!

The actually made me a steak, Rare! AT 4:AM!!!

I also proposed to a nurse while in the morph drip... that was fun.
Getting the cath out was a pain...

But I'd do it again.

So you're saying that if someone got a blood transfusion, then committed a crime, could they peg it on the other guy? With a blood transfusion, the blood they put in you is replaced with your own in just a few days, I think. The particles in your blood stream that have DNA are the white blood cells (red blood cells have no nuclei, and therefore no DNA). White blood cells don't live very long and are constantly being replenished via the bone marrow. So I would imagine a person who had a blood transfusion wouldn't be up and about and able to commit a crime before all the other person's blood has been replaced by their own. As for organs, it would be pretty difficult to leave a chunk of your organ at the scene of a crime. I would imagine no one has done testing because the fraction of the population that commits violent crimes x the fraction of the population that receives blood transfusions is so small, the relevance is negligible.

Bloody hell.
I just typed up a serious answer for you, only to lose it.
DNA is an intrinsic part of your physiological makeup. It can't change. Even with others organs inside you, or a transfusion.
And if you think that will get you a reprieve in court, your wrong Mister.
