Invasion of privacy, illegal, trust them enough to give them an email address, hahaha they are WRONG WRONG WRONG. Seriously these people do not know what they are talking about. Getting email info from your kids is no different from getting info from say their diary. If they are under age, before being able to have the many legal rights adults have, you have custody over them. Parents do that all the time these days ever since all the news of online dangers you hear on the news. Many new laws have made it possible for parents to not be liable when reading kids' emails. As for trust them with their own email address, well even if you dont trust them, they will still find one somewhere. Getting an email is just that simple.
So the best option is a keylogger program. One of the best on the market is http://www.spectorsoft.com/ It costs a little, but it's one of the few that cannot be elimenated even with a anti keylogger program, which your kids can get for free. It maybe better to do some research on which kind of keylogger u want. spectorsoft is good, but not for everyone. I think it is very popular but u might not like it. Try find one that is free first, then move on to the expensive ones if you need it.

Why would you want it? If your children started reading your journals or something I bet you wouldn't be to happy about that.
But there are plenty of ways. Believe me, because my sisters boyfriend is always hacking into my accounts. I think theres some program that records everything that is typed.
Thyere is also a floppy disk that can override any password. Thats been done to me aswell :(
But would you please think about what I said first before invade anyones privacy?

To find the password either ask them or tell them you will get into big trouble. Make them feel worrried. Or just call the AOL or whatever you have and ask them the password. You should have the program or something like that so you can know everything your kids are going and there PASSWORD!! :) or.... you can leave us alone and give us some privicy. PLEASE DONT SPY!!!

Just buy a keylogger program like everyone said. asking them is just the dumbest thing u can do. Like they will tell u that NO WAY. Keylogger programs shows every key ever typed on a keyboard, and also what websites or where they typed it. The cooler expensive ones show you everything they type like a live movie, so you will know more info.

I think there is some problem with the way you are handling your kids. What kinda parent are you? trying to spy on your kids.I am sure neither do they trust you nor you trust them.I think you really need to get some parenting tips or believe me the day is not far when you will find that one of them has lost his/her virginity.Pull up your socks and be friends with them and then you will see this need to know their passwords die down. And really this is he way it should be...

You should give your children some privacy if it's not an emergency. Otherwise, try and reset their password by answering the secret questions.

Get a keylogger. However, I would let them know you put it in and that you're monitoring their e-mail. Otherwise if they find out you've been monitoring it secretly, and they probably will, it will be severely detrimental to their trust for youand likely inspire them to keep other things from you in order to assert their independence.

well, ask them or apply the pvc pipe to their @ss...haha jk...but its good if they come home with a baby...
now you can guess the reset question or your basically going to have to put in a keylogger such as 007spy. I do not recommend it cause itll mess up your PC. But i have done that to somebody who thought it was funny to "hijack" my email while i fell asleep...

Their email is not your business! (sorry for being blunt but...)
You need to resect their privacy. Parents can't always be in control of everything.

Ask him/her. There is no way to find it unless they have it saved in a file or written down somewhere.
